Dark Star Orchestra

Did anybody else go to this? I saw Fleek from a distance but that's about it - oh and I sat with Brenn and Shorter for a little while.

Great show! The "Bob Weir" is freakishly similar sounding and I thought the "Jerry" was probably better than the real thing - especially late era Jerry when he was struggling so hard with his drug demons.

That's what they do. Great show. They played January 7th, 1979...finished around 10:15 or so and then played 5 or 6 more tunes. I cut out at 11:15 and they were still going.

They played Ripple after you left. The encore was over an hour.

Here's the setlist for the show that was played...
Set 1: Jack Straw, They Love Each Other, Cassidy, Jack A Roe, Looks Like Rain, Tennessee Jed, El Paso, Stagger Lee, Passenger

Set 2: I Need A Miracle > Shakedown Street, From The Heart Of Me, Estimated Prophet > Eyes Of The World > Drums > Not Fade Away > Black Peter > Around and Around, E: Good Lovin'
That's not counting the "extras" (everything from "The Weight" on)

Revolution was great! Dug Iko, Iko quite a bit too. Of the Dead stuff, Not Fade Away was brilliantly performed and Uncle John's Band during the encore was great as well.

Decent crowd. Probably close to 1000 people, maybe? I'm not sure, really.

According to the article in the paper yesterday, they're gonna try to have DSO back next year. The director said he was really impressed and wanted to examine the option of making it a 3RF tradition.
