Neat little recording device...

Post by Morphine Child »

I just bought a Line 6 Toneport KB37 last night. Anyone ever check it out? It seems to be a rather simple recording unit, and the actual recording program for the computer looks rather simple to work. I'm pretty familiar with Line 6 products (some I love, some I loath), so I decided to go with it. This unit seemed pretty simple, and it was affordable too. Something I can record simple demos on, and piece together ideas.

This one was just released recently: it has a 37 key midi keyboard in addition to 2 input jacks and 2 mic jacks. It also has a lot of cool onboard stuff, and a lot more can be done with the program. I'm pretty stoked!

Gearbox is amazing. Screw the trial verson of ableton though. I used to have a ux2 for my laptop. I'd back up all of my custom tones to a flash drive and load them into Gearbox in my bigger home studio upstairs, as well as direct to my pod xt. Decent sounding pre and no latency.....can't beat it for the money.

Congrats on your purchase. It's a great product.
