Dang Ollie - we're all fallin apart at the same time. I was just diagnosed back in the summer with an "under" active (as in, isn't functioning at all) thyroid, which makes it incredibly easy to gain weight, hard to loose, and weakens your muscles..... lovely...... How much does that baboon's ass procedure cost? and is it considered elective surgery or will my insurance kick in????

Seriously, we'll keep you in our thoughts.

diet/caffeine-free soda
Hell, get rid of that as well. I actually went back to regular pop from diet soda and lost weight.

I can't drop soda, it's really really tough and I hate tea.

Ollie, get well soon dude...it's nothing to mess around with. Glad you are getting it taken care of.

Ollie, man, I hope things are going to be OK for you. I had a f*cking scary heart related incident, so I have an idea what you are going thru. I got my fingers crossed things are going to be OK for you.

Part of my NYR (new years resolution) is that I will not drink carbonated beverages the entire year of 07...(beer excluded since I don't drin k much anyway)...but no soda at ALL...

The stuff is just bad for you...a friend of mine had a 'mystery' heart thing going on for about 10 months...went to doctors specialists and everything...noone could pin point and issue...then the whole aspertane (sp) thing came out with diet coke...he realized he was drinking 4-5 a DAY...he cut it out completely...within about 5 weeks the entire heart issue just vanished...bad stuff...

just so you all know, Mrs. OA and i have our own plans for any future "unexpected events".
they do not include being in a Harem, or converting to Mormonism.
the do, however, include plans for World Domination through excellence in Pop Culture Trivia.
but, truth be told, it's just some outpatient testing which warrants A) no sponge baths (sorry, Dude!), and B) no looting of the Army residence and contents therein.
sorry to burst all the bubbles....................

Ahem...I'm sorry, but world domination via Pop Culture Trivia has already been obtained by yours truly (I have the documents to prove it.) Thank you. Please drive-thru...

I am fine.

My heart is full of puppies and rainbows.

After much guilt and cajoling we went to the ER last night.

I was tested and scanned and poked and bled.

Results?

The Doc thinks I have an inflammation of the lining of my chest which can effect other parts of the body like the neck and arms.

The Doc supported my choice to come in because these symptoms mimic those of a heart attack.

With antibiotics ans anti-inflammatories i should be back to normal asshattery in no time.

Bottom line?

NEVER discount anything that doesnt feel "right"...EVER.

An ironic PS to all of this...My lowest resting blood pressure was 126/58 which shocked the Doc because as you all know, I am a overweight smoker.

Suck on that.

(still want to lose weight and quit the cigs however)
