Doesn't revolver imply there would be multiple chambers and thus more than one bullet?

If the axis was placed at the exact same spot as the bullet, which would conceivably imply that the firing pin would be in constant contact with the bullet. I demand a diagram (or at least an amusing MS Paint mock up).
