I forgot. . .

. . .how good the movie "Twelve Monkeys" is.

Next to Kalifornia, this is probably the only movie that I like Brad Pitt in.

I agree: "12 Monkeys" is the very best kind of sci-fi, Terry Gilliam's best film, Brad Pitt's best, and the best ending of all times. Clearly in my Top 10.

"Seven" and "Fight Club" are both terrific movies. But Pitt's performances in both are almost identical. In both of them, he's an underwear model, squinting and flexing his jaw for maximum Rich Masculinity Quotient. When I look at him in either movie and imagine what the character is thinking, all I can come up with is, "Jebus, I am so DAMN good-looking."

Seriously, he's not fit carry to Edward Norton's script book. :)

Speaking of good sci-fi, anyone remeber Gattaca or Dark City?

I own the Dark City DVD. . .my wife is still angry at me for it. I LOVE Sutherland's performance in that movie.

On a related note, Sirface used to open their show with a clip from that movie.

I always took it as that was the role he was meant to play in fight club. Brad Pitt's character was supposed to be everything Edward Norton's character secretly wished he was. I do not think the movie would have worked as well any other way.

Dark City is one of my favorites. Man, I love FWM! Everytime I think of some movie I would think of as obscure, somebody posts a quote form it! You guys rule.

I'm not a big fan of Brad Pitt either, but I think he was fookin' brilliant in Snatch.

So, no one's mentioned Gattaca yet. It's great sci-fi, too.
