WILCO in FORT WAYNE?

Post by mkelley »

Some folks are starting a grassroots movement to get Wilco to perform at the Embassy next spring. Check it out at:

Spread the word!

I truly believe this will happen.

I wouldn't attend, but think it would be a nice addition to Fort Wayne's roster (or whatever)

See above for one of the biggest reasons why artists DON'T put Ft. Wayne on their tours.

Oh that and the 'FW is a big walkup business' bullshyt. If you can't sell tickets, you won't play here. And MOST artists get a lackluster response, at best.....up until showtime, and sometimes even then.

Still, it would look good on paper for Wilco to play here....Good luck with the petition.

Son Volt.
Someone's on their toes.

And the Ryan Adams thing was a joke----he doesn't care too much for Wilco...or maybe it's just Jeff Tweedy that he despises. I suspect he doesn't care too much for the music.

So an individual can't discriminate along musical lines of taste?

It seems most people who know him despise Jeff Tweedy... That's okay, I dig the music.

if you want to front on wilco, that's your thing. but don't front on wilco and then say you like ryan adams because it negates any credibilty you might have had.

ryan adams writes music for overweight girls in college to snuggle up to on a friday night with a pint of ben and jerry's when they want to 'be understood' by a sensitve bad boy.

ryan adams is not genuine. he fabricates songs that make even worse songwriters want to make up songs about alcohol and women that they've never slept with because they were too busy being pussies like ryan adams. he hasn't lived what he writes. he doesn't write about anything of substance and he has yet to do one thing original. bed of steel be my winding wheel? i wish he would stop playing music. then he would be awesome.
