i love the song original fire except fot the tom morello solo. too weird for me, it just sounds like someone washing windows

I agree on the Tom Morello part. Don't get me wrong, I think he is one of the most inventive guitarists of the 90's but.......It just seems to be too much anymore. The solos never sit well in the songs now (imho). It's almost like 80's shred for the sake of shred, worn out. Though it's also possible I'm just old and bitter now. That's what those damn kids who keep walking cross my lawn say anyways.

That's the only solo on the album that's a little....funky, the rest of them are pretty well fitting.

I guess I should have said I have not heard the new album yet. I'm just judging from the last two. I'm not a fan of the new single though. It's weird. I really appreciate what they were trying to do, it's got that ride sally ride era feel to it which I do like, however I can hardly bear to listen to it. I'm so torn and I don't get it.

I admit, I was a touch hesitant about it at first but it just grooved correctly for me after the first minute. I think all the old Rage and 'Garden tunes they've been playing live have rubbed off on the song writing. Its a shame that they won't be touring in support of this album.
