All I'm saying is that if my band had a #1 Billboard® album and was still going on a national tour; all the while giving W the finger....I would feel I was doing something right.

For the record I like Tool. They're not the be all end all but I can give 'em a spin.

Dixie Chicks have been together longer than Rage Against the Machine, they just weren't a big thing back then.

I do enjoy country music, and I've never particulary cared for Dixie Chicks even before all this.

As to "doing something right" it is the entertainment business, and free press is free press. Whether they're any good as entertainers might be moot. I'm sure they're laughing all the way to the bank.

I'm not hating anything, I'm actually loving the fact that I don't have to hear forty years worth of tired, recycled slop.

And the award for "Ultimate One Trick Pony" goes to......The Rolling Stones for giving us almost a half century of different versions of the same song and dance (literally). Kiss your millions you've suckered out of poor souls like Mr. Sumner here. They don't realize that you haven't given anything productive to the music scape for at least 30 years, and that your tours are just jukebox bullsh*t that they could probably recreate with a decent mix of your albums at home. Congratulations. Don't change a thing, oh wait, you haven't changes, you've just gotten worse with age.

cmon now - that sorta logic is offensive to even you - i mean - dya really consider yerself the kinda guy who would be friends with an idiot? i havent bought anything of theirs released in the last thirty yrs and ive certainly never seen them live - and as for their millions that they kiss ... not a single dollar of theirs came from my wallet - the benefit of working in a record store for as long as i did - every single stones album i own was a promo copy and thus free of charge to me

i believe ultimate one trick pony is better suited for aerosmith

Aerosmith, you are correct about that one. It just amazes me that you don't hold the latter day sins of the Stones against them, kills me. I have stated before that there are many good songs by the Rolling Stones, maybe there's an album or two that are decent, but I'll never buy into it because of their bullsh*t tag of "world's greatest rock 'n roll band" to sell themselves.
