My impression....

Funny movie....especially the "tucked in" part...

I liked the movie, glad I contributed to the bottom line over the weekend. And I hope this ends the entire saga once and for all.

And Mr. Smith must really get off on his wife sucking on Dante's face...

Clerks II Trivia

Post by Garr »

The letters in the Clerks II logo all come from various fast food logos/products. The C from Carl Jr.'s, L from McDonald's Large fries, E from Burger King's Whopper, R from Burger King, K from KFC, and S from Popeye's.

[?]Jersey Girl[/?]
Was a GREAT movie.
Uhhh, no. At best, it was a solid flick (and that's not even taking into consideration it's part of the Kevin Smith cannon). As far as flicks involving musical performances go, it's 2 1/2 notches above Mr. Holland's Opus (namely due to Carlin's presence), but GREAT it is not.

. . .opinions. . .are like cornholes. everyone's got one and they all stink.

Jersey Girl was a moving and emotional story and engaging as well. Kevin wrote those characters and directed the performances in a way that made them real. It was an easy movie to suspend disbelief while watching. I would degrade it down to a Really Good movie, excepting two factors. J.Lo is killed in the first 10 minutes. George Carlin showed that he can play a dramatic role. He stole this movie, IMO.

jersey girl was f'n lame. HOWEVER! i did like the dynamics with carlin. it sucks that smith has become such a giant clownshoe that he can't rock it consistently with good sh*t. instead he opts for deliberately bad jokes, ditzy glam, and terrible boy-girl relationships.

another sick issue with Clerks 2 is that it didn't allude to anything but Clerks. i was afraid it would be like J&SBSB and be a movie completely dedicated to inside jokes.
