I saw his show in Memphis last May and was amazed that at his age he could still be "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business". It was one of the best shows I have ever seen.

not only sad but with all of these great people dying these days I am starting to feel quite old.

I just read his entire wiki article last week. Amazing and interesting person all around.

"He was dramatic to the end — dying on Christmas Day," said the Rev. Jesse Jackson, a friend of Brown's since 1955. "Almost a dramatic, poetic moment. He'll be all over the news all over the world today. He would have it no other way."

Anyone who feels the need to catch up on the legacy should do what I did a few years aago. Check out the 4-CD set, covering his career, at the Allen County Library.

Its an amazing addition to the ipod.

Check out any coverage of the memorial and viewing in Harlem. Sounds amazing! He's going out with style, and then some.
