Update: Minnesota wants Kleinsasser to re-work his contract to reduce his $2.9 million base salary or he may be released, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Recommendation: The Vikings were unhappy with their tight ends last season and recently signed free agent Visanthe Shiancoe to be the new starter at the position.

Update: WR Bobby Wade has signed a five-year, $15 million contract with the Vikings that includes $4 million in guarantees, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Recommendation: As of now, Wade is expected to step into a starting role with the Vikings, who had just two veteran receivers â€” Billy McMullen and Troy Williamson â€” under contract. That could change however if the team adds another veteran free agent such as Kevin Curtis or ends up drafting a hotshot rookie like speedster Ted Ginn Jr. come April.
