Has to be registered individually...I am working on that solution also. There is little help out there for the calendar right now..

CALENDAR NOTE!!

You do NOT have to register as a member in order to add an event to the calendar.

I am also reworking the calendar right now to conform to the look of the boards.

Check it out...post some gigs...

The calendar is getting a huge number of hits again...thanks to content and PROMOTION of it on my part and the part of others in the area.

Another reminder that ALL shows that are listed here and up and coming MUST be added to the calendar to avoid locking and/or deletion.

I will be doing a once over this week to verify. We are in the works with a cool new feature for the boards that will fall in line with this site rule.

Please check your posts and verify calendar inclusion ASAP.

I'm still working on my script to automate this. It's slow going. Most of the information I can find on it is about two years old and the functions are a bit outdated and a bit buggy. I have made some headway, but it's now a matter of finding the spot in the calendar area to get the post created here.

Like I said, the problem is getting it to associate it with the message board username. Right now, the calendar and the boards are separate systems and not linked, which means that I can't just use the UserID from the boards to link it all together. In lieu of that functionality, I will just have the new post to the message boards be made by a static username and then people can just add information to the post as they see fit.

Ha!

That sounds like a plan. I mean after all...who CARES who actually made the post on the boards...

The thread will feed itself...who looks at the author half the time anyway..:)

I will begin locking and deleting threads that are NOT on the new or old calendar this next week.

If you post is suddenly gone from here you will know why. Add it to the calendar, PM and admin, and we will move it back into production for you after validating the calendar addition.
