Special Report: Tom Waits Attacks Detroit

Post by Hutnick »

I just got back from the Tom Waits show in Detroit. Holy Sh!+, what a show. Did anyone else here attend? He opened with Make It Rain which was nearly a religious experience. The band was stellar. The venue was gorgeous. This was quite possible the best show I've been to.

My wife and I went to the Chicago show. Pretty damn amazing, except for the venue kinda sucked. He and the band ruled, though

...I caught the late night show in Cleveland on Sunday at the House of Blues...last show of the tour...the line to get in was ridiculous (with the forced will call ticket pickup and all), but he waited until everyone was in before he started...played til three and knocked my socks off!

I was not as lucky my friends who saw him twice in a row that night, but I am really glad that I was able to catch him! Loved it.
