SAN DIEGO (TICKER) -- LaDainian Tomlinson will have a chance to run behind Kris Dielman for a half-dozen more seasons.
Keeping their offensive line intact, the San Diego Chargers on Saturday signed Dielman to a six-year contract.
Financial terms were not disclosed for Dielman, who was an unrestricted free agent.
Dielman, 26, was a key member of an offensive line that opened holes for Tomlinson, who set a single-season record of 31 touchdowns and led the league with 1,815 rushing yards.
The 6-4, 310-pound Dielman has played in 52 games with the Chargers since signing with the club as undrafted rookie in 2003.
