The government has approved a tax 'refund'.

Every person will get a check starting in May...the guidelines are:

Anyone making less than $75,000 a year will get a $600 check.

Married couples with a combined income of less than $150,000 a year will get a $1200 check.

THEN...you get an additional $300 per child...

THEN...if you fall under a certain amount you are eligible for a little more...

i.e. I will get a check for $600 and Jackie will get a check for $1800. We make less than $150,000 combined and have two kids...and she makes less than the cutoff so she gets the additional amount...

Basically...look for a check in late May...:)

Basically, we are borrowing a hundred fifty BILLION from the Chinese that we don't have. Those consumers that don't piddle it away on weed and lottery tickets will buy a few consumer goods, probably made in China, so they get their money back (with interest, if they use it as a down payment on something big.) So, the Chinese economy will benefit, Americans will get a sugar rush and thank their pandering politicians, and our grandchildren will get a bill for 150 billion WITH INTEREST from the Chinese. So the Chinese will get paid back TWICE. Meanwhile, the 9 trillion and growing national debt will devalue the dollar even faster against foreign currencies, making the recession the little feel-good bribe was trying to avoid even worse.

If you are not pissed, it's because you are not paying attention.

That's why I'll stymie their plan and use the money to payoff student loans.

I will use it to buy a pool and increase the overall value of my home...and the remainder will go to paying down a mortgage and finishing a vehicle repair...

Mine won't be wasted...and the more people that actually do that...the better the situation...but of course we are again relying on the people that got us in this situation in the first place...:)

..well,... I'll definitely utilize a check that shows up in my mail
for $1,800.00..... but this is in the long run isn't solving anything
by just printing up more money and giving it away.

the same fiscal problems exist. China still owns us!

Another classic example of the Bush adminstration solves
issues by firing up the printing press, cramming more paper
and ink in it....and letting it rip.
