only issue I see is it presumes one "correct" setup. Play any pros guitar (or bass) and it will be set up differently. Some Nashville guys I know (and James Jamerson) had ridiculously high action, but they all claim(ed) the tone is better that way. Steve Vai and Joe Satriani (and others of the shredders) have their action extremely low while Stevie Ray Vaughn had his so high a lot of guitar players would have had a hard time playing chords, let alone fast lead passages, on it. My basses are set up quite low and I prefer it that way. My fretted basses are a little higher than my fretless and they also have a little bit more relief in the neck. That said his tips are correct, just feel free to allow room for personal preference in there and don't be too sold on the "correct" setup.
