I don't think this is the end of it. He may not play again.

What kills me is all the crap Roger Goodell is taking - from both sides.

For those who think Vick should be kicked out immediately: Yes Pacman Jones was suspended without a conviction - after 10 (now 11) run-ins with police in one year. Vick is in a bit of a different spot. His alleged crimes are certainly more heinous, but right now they are only alleged. This is also only his first violation of the conduct policy. The policy was put in place to provide consequences for players that seemed to continuously end up on the worng side of the law. Mike's done it once.

For those who say 'innocent until proven guilty' means Vick should be allowed to play: Grow up. The innocent until proven guilty standard provides a guideline for the legal (not league-al)system to follow. It's not a guideline for workplaces. Let's say I'm a school teacher. If I were indicted by a federal grand jury, the best case (and most unlikely) scenario for me would be suspension with pay. That is essentially what Mike is getting here. He's been told not to report to camp, but will still recieve his money.

This is the smartest possible move for the commish to make. The whole situation is screwed up, and there was probably nothing he could do without ticking off lots of people.

Honestly, this is probably best for Mike too. He might not wanna leave his house for a while.
