John Prine in FW at the Embassy!

Post by tiny »

JOHN PRINE is coming to the Embassy!

February 9, 2007....a Friday night show.

John Prine is a master storyteller and songwriter, one of the original Americana artists, and one of many touted as 'the next Dylan'.

How many (if any) would pay to see him? I'm not sure Fort Wayne is up to the challenge at all.

Let me know....I'm actually trying to see if we (the Fort) could help this show somehow.

I love John Prine. Like Dylan, however, I usually prefer other people's versions of his songs - especially Angel From Montgomery as sung by Bonnie Raitt and our own Sunny Taylor. Beautiful song. Probably one of my top 5 all-time favorites.

I would go to this show. IF I'm not playing that night and IF it's not ridiculously expensive.
