If I wasn't planning on going up there Saturday for Oteil, I would be at this show...

On a side note, if they can get killer acts like this in Lafayette (a smaller town), at a relatively small club like Lafayette Brewing Company and sell a substantial number of tickets, even on an off night like a Thursday, why do we keep getting yesterday's leftovers at Piere's and why can't anybody in town bring acts like Oteil Burbridge and Alejandro Escoveda here? They've also had several other jambands up there.

Fort Wayne is a tough market. Most acts that are "out of the norm" don't care to bother with it. From what I've heard, its one of those markets that agents try to avoid. A few years back Mike Kenneally & Beer For Dolphins came to town and played at Crawdaddy's and I would be willing to bet there weren't more than 25 people in the room. It's just not worth it for these types of acts to roll the dice on towns like this.

Yeah, I've heard that, too.

What's odd to me is Evansville, IN only has about 120,000 people, the market isn't much different and they've hosted a bigger variety of acts lately, including Widespread Panic, which really makes me wonder. Granted Evansville is 1.5 hours from Louisville, 3 from Indy and 2.5 from Nash-Vegas, but FW is close to Ann Arbor, Indy, Detroit & Chicago....
