Star Trek for story lines and a little depth.

Star Wars for action and Special Effects.

Baylon 5 and Farscape were much better than Trek. The more science fiction I read in books, the less I like Star Trek, though. It's like entry-level science fiction, and the main characters are all too squeaky-clean.

Of course, PBS needs to get off their arse and run Red Dwarf again!

I'm gonna go with Dr. Who. No special effects, lame story and plot, but the mother-jerk travels around is a super cool ship that on the outside looks like a phone booth.

And he has a robot dog.

Haha, I bought my mom an action figure of K-9 when I was in London. always prefered the television version of Hitchhiker's Guide to Dr. Who, mostly because the pace is quicker. And you can't beat Peter Jones as The Book.

My geekiest day in college came during my multicultural literature symposium. The professor tried to compare something or other to the Prime Directive from Star Trek. I was the only one in class who knew what she was talking about, so I had to explain it to everyone.

come on... the light saber would destroy the phaser any day.

And the millenium falcon would run right through the enterprise.

and I'd rather be on a death star than deep space 9.

The Millineum Falcon is the size of a tennis-ball in comparison to the Enterprize. The Enterprize has city's worth of people on it. The Millenium Falcon could barely hold 6 plus some damn droids!

The Millineum Falcon would fly off the Enterprize's hull like a super-bouncy ball!

To play devil's advocate, the Millenium Falcon was a smuggling vessel...

On the other hand, Harlan Ellison wrote an episode of Star Trek...

Conan O'brien does the best impression of a Star Trek fan ever!
Most of it seemed to make some sort of sense at the time.

So maybe it would run through that shaft that holds the engine on?
