Simple solution, don't drink and drive, its much cheaper to take a cab.

Was looking more to hear about the views on whether punishing people who do something that is potentially bad for there/others health by forcing them to do something that is potenitally damgaing to their health for several years.

3 years in jail is a long time and will in most cases ruin your life.

TAKE AWAY THEIR LISCENCE!!!! The main problem is that they drink and DRIVE.

It all comes down to money. I would be interested in seeing how much actually comes in for the AADP program in Fort Wayne. No one is going to choose Jail, they know that and profit off it.

I had 2 DUIs 6 months apart before I was 19.

They took away my license the first time, it didn't top me from getting a second...

If antabuse are legitimately dangerous to ones health, then perhaps it isn't the best answer, but if you get caught and are clearly inebriated, not just blowing .08, the fines should make you cry. I mean steeeeeep fines, driving impaired is retarded.

frightening. MADD has done a lot of good in the past, but it seems like they're intent on relegislating prohibition now. Impaired driving is stupid and dangerous and if you drive impaired you should serve time in jail. .08 (06 at the officer's discretion) is intrusive IMO. Forcing every kid who has a beer at a party to go on this poison is "cruel and unusual" IMO.
