This isn't Broken Minds' thread. It was started about them, but not by them, so it's not really been hijacked. I think the thing here that people don't like (and which is against the Terms of Service) is other people blatantly dissing a band or making gratuitous and inflammatory remarks about bands or musicians. If people were down on D. Gary, Orange Opera, or otherwise, I would HOPE that everyone would tell them to chill out too.
I am not a "hipicrit" (i.e. hypocrite), and I make a reasonable effort to be fair in my statements across the board and to not make personally directed comments. I choose to use my (unfinished) college education and target the behavior rather than the person.
There is a deeper, underlying theme here which I think is this: if you don't have something CONSTRUCTIVE to say, keep your forking mouth shut.
