Bush will continue his pattern of not vetoing anything... Minimum wage will be raised. Amnesty for illegals will pass. He MIGHT veto a tax increase, but maybe not. He MIGHT veto an embryonic stem cell research bill, but maybe not...
- as a side note, thus far embryonic stem cell research has produced exactly diddly squat, while adult stem cell research is actually showing great promise, so I don't know why we would divert money from the research that is showing great promise to an area that thus far has shown none... especially given the ethical issues SOME believe exist.

I always through Embryonic research was the wrong direction, since any discoveries would require recipients to take massive anti-immunity drugs as opposed to harvesting their own stem cells.bassjones wrote:- as a side note, thus far embryonic stem cell research has produced exactly diddly squat, while adult stem cell research is actually showing great promise, so I don't know why we would divert money from the research that is showing great promise to an area that thus far has shown none... especially given the ethical issues SOME believe exist.
ESR I think will give us clearer insight into how cells can change, but in reality the hope for treatment reside with Adult Stem Cell research.
