Final Fort Wayne Gig for Kevin Hiatt

Post by kevrayhiya »

I just wanted to write a short note to everyone on FWM.com to say goodbye to all the musicians and fans of live music in the Fort Wayne music scene. Saturday Sept 23 I'll play my last gig at Jefferson Pointe on their fall festival from 10-11:30 am. So if you are out and about on that morning please come by and hear me play a few last tunes before I leave for the Great American West sometime that next week.

Its been an interesting last five years for me here in Fort Wayne. I've released two cds, played countless gigs in the regional area, and produced a half dozen or more concerts at venues like Cinema Center and the downtown public library. Still I find that I need a bigger playground to function in and develop as an artist.

So to all my friends in music here in Fort Wayne I say rock on, play on
all of you.

Check my website if you want to stay in touch. I update it fairly often with
MP3 files and even downloadable sheet music to some of my guitar solos.
Before I leave town there should be a free jazz fingerstyle guitar book for free download.

live and thrive,
Kevin Hiatt

And, let's not forget this genius quote from Chuck Thomas:

"When I get depressed, I just whistle, and watch as my neighbors dog. . .

runs to the length of his chain and gags himself."

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, such poetry. Carry these quotes with you to Kansas, the great American west.

And Kevin. . . Carry on my wayward son. There'll be peace when. . . well, y'know?
Death, where is thy sting?
