HELP!! I dont know what I am doing!

I wanted to pass some stuff ( a flyer ) out at the fair in Auburn but not for a show just basicly advertise our album, websites and all that good stuff. So I need something eye appeling and a spot for the info to go as well, i.e breif bio/current news/websites and stuff like that. I was wondering how would I go about that........I have....I think its called Photo impression on my pc but I have never really used it. Is that something I could use to make what I am looking for? Also cool pics where do I find them?

I know its a stretch but if someone reads this and is really bored........If you could slap something together for me there would be no problem advertising your services on the flyer...

Or if you have a cool pic I could use that would be cool......I will try to mess with the photo deal that I have and see what I can come up with.

I don't have time to design it, but I can lead you to some cool photos and ideas.

First off, goto:

www.gigposters.com

It's a website of gig/flyer art, and you can search by band. There's tons of stuff on there, and it's updated everyday. Maybe you could get some layout ideas here.

Secondly, goto:

www.gettyimages.com

It's a stock photography website. You're suposed to pay for these images, but I wouldn't worry too much (they would only go after someone who was making money on them....). Just search in the 'creative images' section like you would at any search engine.

The other thing you might want to find are some cool fonts. Just search on Google for free fonts, and you'll find a ton of 'em!

Here is what I got so far

I dont really like the placement on a couple of the lines but thats how I had to do it, and I am not to sure what to wright on the dam thing I just wanted some basic info and then links to our site. If you have any suggestions on what to wright or anything to add, it would be much appreciated.

Also some of the Text may be hard to read.

I would not use paragraphs. I would use bullet points or factoids; they read better. The thing you gotta remember is, people will only look at this for a few seconds, so you need to "grab" 'em right away!

AM I ALMOST THERE YET!!!! lol.........It looks a little bare but definatly better than the last........Im still not sure how......or where to put the websites. Any other advice would be appreciated......again

I got to fix the tripo thing to tripod i just seen that

i'd take the web addresses and put them vertical on the right hand side of the flyer.

If you can phoshop well it would be clever to change the word "Phone" to "Pheen."

you might consider running text parallel to the road, on the asphalt near the bottom edge. It kinda lends itself to horizontal text

I tried all those ideas.........the phone to pheen thing........I couldn't match the color, but I didn't spend that much time on it, I'll try it again.

I did have the web sites going down the road.....I really don't know why I changed it............I also had them vertically along the side of the phone booth I will mess with it some more.

I think this is about as good as I am going to get it........I am still taking suggestions though......I plan to make it kinda like a card and have it open up for the brief bio and info on the inside so I think this should do as far as the info on the front

Not bad at all. Remember that you can add a 1px stroke to text to help make it stand out. I'm not saying you need that here. . .but it's a SIMPLE yet valuable tool.!

Another question........I think its a PDF file? the one you guys put your links to and it has 4 pics to print instead of printing them in singles..?..?

If that's not it could you tell me what it is and how to do it?
