Old Weezer (Blue Album type of stuff)
Old Blues Traveler (like on Four)
Rage Against The Machine
The Verve Pipe

I miss being able to enjoy mindless rock music. I know there was a time in my life that I would've eaten up everything Nickelback puts out. But now I'm jaded, and I complain that all of their stuff sounds the same - even though that sound is what would've attracted my former self to them in the first place.

I miss Disco. I enjoy music I can move to without feeling dumb. Some of that stuff just made you feel like shaking something. Now it seems like if you want to dance, you're stuck with teeny-boppers or hip-hop, and neither are really my cup 'o tea. If I wanna move at a show I'm at, I'm usually required to mosh. And that's another thing . . .

I miss being able to mosh! I used to love to get in a pit and throw down. Somewhere along the line I grew up. Now I see these kids beating the bejeezus out of each other and think, 'What stupid asses.' What happened to me?

I miss lots of stuff. I sound crotchety now. Get off my lawn.

I miss distinguishable voices - even if it was Journey, at least you knew it was Journey as soon as Steve Perry started singing.

I miss being a fan of rap, hell-music in general. I wonder when it was that my listening to music like it was lifeblood passed by.

Stone Temple Pilots is going to have a reunion tour this summer. Which is one step towards my dream tour line-up: STP, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam :P
And with all the reunions happening... maybe we could see a temporary Soundgarden reunion as well.

I miss when I heard new music and it was thrilling for me. It was exciting.

Now everything sounds the same. I understand now why "old" people said my "new music" sounded just like a rehash of somebody else.

growing up sucks

ps...I still like my "new music". It's just "old" by today's standards.

I miss going to numerous concerts each month. At one point, I was going to 4 or 5 shows per month over a course of about 7 or 8 years. All of a sudden, right around the age of 27, I stopped and since then I've really had no desire to be the avid concert-goer I once was.
