Do you buy the pieces/parts for assembly, or are you carving this by hand?

Everything has been done by hand. I did use a band saw and jointer to get started but other than that it has all been hand tools; chisels, gouges, knives, planes etc.

EUB? Actually, I was considering making that my next project. I have an overseas tour coming up next summer and really don't want to ship my bass over for the thing, so...an electric seemed like the clearest alternative. We'll see though, I need to finish this bass first.

wow thats cool. the bracing is intense. cant wait to hear what is sounds like! wanna re-plain and reglue a board on me old engelhardt? what kind of music you gonna be doing with that beast?

I can take a look at if for you. PM me.

Music? What ever happens! I've got irons in a few fires right now, so I get to play a pretty good variety of stuff- rock, folk, jazz, funk, bluegrass, even a bit of classical every now and then. Hopefully I won't get the chance to play much on it though. The plan is to sell it so I can fund the next one.
