Idiot...

Feel free to call him and let him know how big of an ass he is...

Chris

To Whom It May Concern:

Here is the entire transcript of the offensive email just received from Mr. Wallace, including all headers. Following that will be the WHOIS Records necessary for communication between our Legal Department and the various authorities we intend to escalate this matter with. It is YEARS overdue!
Although, after having just hung up the phone with Mr. Wallace, who once again remarked there was nothing he or Fort Wayne Music could, or would, do to resolve this, we are all certain that there is very little left for us to do other than report the problems, again, to those in a position to actually decide upon the ethically and morally professional RIGHT thing to do. In the absence of all hope of THAT actually taking place (this has been going on for YEARS now) at least we finally have in our possession a tape recording of Mr. Wallace giving me the same run around as he has since this was first brought to his attention years ago.
We have also kept every email correspondence between us and Fort Wayne Music from the very first request made, asking that they correct the misinformation on their Website so that the Arizona/California Christian Rock band Cross Town would no longer have their music and websites, plus email accounts, used by the garage-band hacks who have seen fit to point to our Website and our email and claim those URLs represent the Crosstown band claiming ownership of same who is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Chris, all you needed to do was use common sense and STOP SENDING US EMAILS, and we would have left well enough alone. Either that, or at least TRY to VERIFY that the information your client was using was indeed NOT representative of them, and that we were indeed who we claimed to be, and then acknowledge we had every right AND responsibility to see to it that Fort Wayne Music ceased allowing bogus and fraudulent information be posted on their Website. It is a shame that you find it necessary to continue with your petty mindset and continue to send emails out containing such unprofessional and vulgar language to people who OBVIOUSLY have NOTHING TO DO with the Indiana Music Scene.
Trust me when I say we only wanted you to resolve the MISINFORMATION published on your Website. Too bad you deemed it of higher importance to flaunt your "power" to refuse to do anything at all except continue to be an unprofessional, small minded Sub-sandwich business tycoon with a marked propensity for making a nuisance of himself. Hope you find it was all worth while. Personally, I find your condescending tone & immature telephone and email communications over the years, proclaiming your "right" to continue to do nothing to resolve this, to be indicative of what is wrong with amateurs being given power to do as they wish with NO conscience or care for what harm they may cause others. At least one good thing has finally come from this ridiculous fiasco; you have finally given us enough documented and recorded proof of WILLFUL NEGLIGENCE on your part in allowing a client of yours to continue to defraud and misinform the public.

Regards,

DJ Johnson

Forgot to post their website...Isn't there a place on the web where old ugly sites go to die? This should be there...

Might be a little slow...I mean with over 2000 hits in their many year history...I am sure their bandwidth is topped out...

http://alethea-records.com/

Feel free to drop by for a good laugh...

Yeah...GET A LIFE...

His frickin' band is apparently called Cross Town...

So bad he had to start his own label to get them signed...

Anyway...he is a frickin' Jerk...called my house threatening me...I was like whatever dude...we are NOT responsible for bands posting web addresses on the site...sorry about your luck...he said he was recording the call and hung up...I hope he did...I would LOVE to play it for prosecuting attorneys if the harassment continues from him...

Ruthless Dictator...that's funny,

Wouldn't worry about it too much. if it's been going on for "years" then they must not be too serious about it. If nothing else, shouldn't they be trying to go after the other band named Cross Town and not you.

I know...I don't get it..

I think what happened...as I put it WAY In the back of my mind...

Some area band used the name 'crosstown' and they posted their website here...well in the mix things got crossed..either one person bought a domain or the other person bought a domain and people started confusing them...one thing leads to another and this a-hole is planning on suing me for 'allowing' it...

Well I straight told him years ago that I wasn't going to make a local band change their name, their website, their e-mail or ANYTHING...they never misrepresented themselves to myself or anyone else that I know...

This guy is probably just pissed because he logged on to the internet and found there was a world outside of Phoenix, AZ and SOMEONE already picked that name...sucks to be him. Sorry about his luck, but I have no stake in it and the threats are going to have to end...

Please..give him a call and tell him to stick it up his ass...:)

We had the same thing happen to us. There are at least 2 other bands with the same name we have (although I think we best represent the name out of all of them, but that's just my opinion). The guys who had it originally emailed us and politely suggested we pick a new name. We elected not to. We have no intention of ever being signed or going beyond our little piece of heaven here in the midwest, so what's the point. Same deal though... I think he just went online and discovered that we were more popular after a year than he had been in 10. In the end what difference does it make. It would be like this guy coming to you and telling you that you have to take all mentions of us off of this site. That would be stupid. We're know in this area, and no one gives a poopie about the other bands with the same name. It just doesn't matter. If you're not signed by a major label or willing to go to take the thing to court, stop talking about it and go play music. Take over the name again by getting more fans. that's it. Period! It's really just that simple!

I hope he sues me...I am bringing the news with me...

Then I am suing him for his offensive website...

Suing for his 'startfield' background...

Suing him for using 'Stevie Ray' in his nickname...

Suing him for being fat and middle aged...

Then I am billing him for my vacation down in AZ while defending the case..:)

Unless his band name is trademarked FEDERALLY, he can't do anything anyways, especially if he's no where near here. When most bands decide to go so far as to trademark a name, they only do it within their state/region anyway, because it's a big pain in the ass to do it nationally, not to mention it costs a hell of a lot more! Chances are the douche bag only (if at all!) owns the name in his little neck of the woods, so tell him to take his band name, write it down on a piece of paper, crumple it up really really tightly, and shove it up his ass!

I am still confused to the problem...

It is like he bought a domain name that someone else let go and now he gets traffic and e-mails residual to THAT band...

I mean who cares and WHY would you b*tch about TRAFFIC???

I love the extra traffic from all the crap I have pointing HERE...

I mean during elections I love all the Mark Souder supporters we get coming through... marksouder.com ...

Who wouldn't want it?? He says his record label got an 'offensive' e-mail today...if you have not checked your mail you are getting a notice of the service outage and the fact that we are back up...that is 'offensive' ? nice try jackass...

Wait until I start tagging all FWM e-mails with HIS home phone number...'give us a call if you want removed'...:)
