"Our Country" is a real gem. Really takes the whole cliche and reworks it in insightful and meaningful ways. I mean....

"From the east coast
To the west coast
Down the Dixie Highway
Back home
This is our country"

Wow. I had never thought of it that way.

Again, thanks JC. You've grown.

Really? You sold a song to John Cougar? If so, wow. You must be rolling in some serious bank.

I believe he said "took one of our songs", not 'bought'.

considering the source, i'd be willing to believe this........

as my 10-year-old is fond of saying: "don't dip in the Kool-Aid if you don't know the flavor"...

And this adresses my implication in what way, exactly?

I know the source. Cougar has one of the songs. He's sold more than one song to more than one big-name artist. And no that wouldn't make him rich. Unfortunately, that's not exactly how it works. Typically a modest fee upfront and modest songwriter royalties from there on out.

And I hate that stupid song!! The American listening public is retarded.

I stick by what I said. This song is crap, big dollars or not. But this is just my opinion.

As far as the rest, PM's were sent. Positions clarified. We'll see....
