Incorrect way to ask to be put on a bill:

I was told to contact you about a show, all I need to know about is: stage size, what kind of lighting, and PA size, and show date and time. Please get back to me as soon as possible.

First off, not badmouthing the band in anyway.

Second of all, incorrect first contact between a band an a promoter. How about:

"Hey, we heard you were booking a show at so and so's and we were wondering if we could get on the bill, or what we needed to do to get on the bill."

Come on it's not that difficult, but as for these fellas they totally just talked themselves right off the bill.

Yeah, contacting the promoter and acting like you're already on the bill without even knowing that person, or any information about the show. . .crap, even if you DID know that stuff. . .

All I asked you was what the stage size was, how powerful the lighting is, if the PA can handle our vocals and the WHEN and the f'ing WHERE of the show.
