Michael Brecker and Joe Zawinul in one year. Damn. 20 years since Jaco's passing this year too.

I attended the Percussive Arts Society International Convention this week and on Friday there was a session called "The Drummers of Weather Report." This was a panel discussion with Omar Hakim, Ndugu Chancler, Peter Erskine, Alex Acuna, Skip Hadden and Chester Thompson. They all shared a lot of really cool memories about Joe. It was very cool and insightful to hear stories from guys who were right there in the studio, on the road, and just hanging out with Joe.
