I sang the worst kareoke EVER here with Marie. It wasn't entirely our fault, since the screen was out on the monitor & we had no "words" to use as a crutch.

No cover, always a plus.

$2 well drinks, also a good thing
Hot "finger-on-keyboard" action

Like I said in another thread, I paid $5 cover to see the Wailhounds on 5/5 (after the DP show).

Fun bar, though. Spacious and the food is decent.

Aw yay I'm biased because this is my aunt's second restaurant. I love it! And I like that they have a separate family side.
You know when you've found it because you feel it when they take it away.

I always thought it was laid out bass-ackwards.

The bands should be in the main room and the pool tables in the side area.

Hmmm maybe it's me.

Also, if it's anything like the food at the old Kaysan's on South Anthony...

Worst. Mexican Food. Ever.

Dripping with grease and yet somehow strangely flavorless. We left ours virtually untouched, and when the server said, "Is everything okay?" as we got up to leave, I told him, "No. It's the worst Tex-Mex I ever tasted, bar none."

His response to watching two diners get up to leave without eating? "Gee... nobody ever complained before...."

We played there on Thurs, and while it is still loud, it is better. They put up curtains, and foam padding in most of the corners to help absorb some of the sound. The place was full of people in there 50's and not a one complained of volume.

Agreed. 100%. I've been there before and saw lots of people in the main room, and no one in the band area. They should put the band against that back wall where that big ass TV is. Clear out a few tables and you have a great dance floor, but with enough room for people to sit back and watch. You get 15 people in the other room and it looks crowded. I don't like the joint.

the band room was a later purchase and add on... from what I've been told.
1. I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. - Romans 15
