So, as of 10:00 PM I am no longer a North River Agent. Not quite a mutual decision, but I won't go into all that. I'm assuming they are looking for a bass player, so if you are into Americana/Alt. Country music you should definitely audition. Definitely not for the jazz, funk, or fusion minded, which is the biggest reason I am not a member of the band any longer. I have no ill feelings towards any of them, and in fact consider all of them to be friends, so here's to best wishes for them in the future.

In the meantime I am now looking for a new project. NOTHING remotely Country, Americana, Folksy or Rootsy. I NEED the funk! Gotta have the funk. That's right I am looking for a funk/jam band along the lines of Aquarium Rescue Unit, Steve Kimmock, Rusted Root, etc... Willing to join or start one. Let me know. I'm posting an add in the musicians wanted section too.

meanwhile, kindly remove all references to the band from my avatar and signature...

Sorry to hear about the split. You are a great bassist, I'm sure you won't have any problems finding a gig that better suits your style. Good luck.

Hey, I moved this here because I think it belongs here more than the other forum. I can fix your avatar reference, but you should edit your own signature. Good luck.

Not so bad really. They're good guys. Like I said, "Square peg, round hole"... wasn't working. They knew it, I knew it. Took a push but it's over now.

"Square peg, round hole"
But honestly, that's when the best music is made. Just get the egos out of the way (not implying there were in this case...just an generic statement) and play dammit.... As long as it's somewhat close, keep looking at the best bands and they play through these issues (and they explode later of course...but still...it's worth the pain). :-)

Jones...which thread do you want to remain open? There are 2 threads here for the same thing. I'm going to lock the one you don't want.

go ahead and leave this one open. I had posted it in the local bands area just to let people know I was out, but this one got moved here by Garr and turned into the intended purpose of the other thread... lock that.

That made me laugh. Thanks Bean! I'll miss seeing you at shows. I'll probably get out sometime this summer, but it may be a while. Hope you understand.
