Quickest way to get in a band: go buy a bass rig! It is easy to learn ( to get started that is...now mastering is some what of another story)....plus it seems like there are only about a handful of us bass players around town. Join us...you know you want to.

It's true. In high school I had been playing guitar for a few years and could never get anything going. All the other guitar players and I would sit around and gripe about it. Then I bought a bass from a friend and less than a week later I was playing gigs in my first band.

Design album covers and websites.
Or be a Lyricist.
Hell, you could do some beat poetry.
Anyone can sing, really, it just takes some practice to make it sound like music:)
But you could probably sing in a band, easy.
Even a backup vocals could work.
Just try out for any group that you think you could click with.
Get the experience.
And if you have musical friends, they'll help you become a rocker, or whatever.
