CINCINNATI (AP) -- The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed running back Kenny Watson to a three-year contract Friday.
Watson led the Bengals' running backs with 213 yards receiving while tying for the lead with 23 receptions. He played in every Bengals game last season as their third-down back, averaging 5.5 yards per carry with one touchdown.
Watson originally was signed by the Bengals as a free agent in September 2003. He began his NFL career in Washington in 2001.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Cincinnati Bengals linebacker A.J. Nicholson was sentenced to two months in a sheriff's work program and two years' probation after pleading no contest to burglary and grand theft.
Judge Kathleen Dekker sentenced the former Florida State player Monday. He entered the plea last month to charges that he and an accomplice took electronic equipment and other items valued at $1,700 from the apartment of former Seminoles teammate Lorenzo Booker and his two roommates last May.
Charges remain pending against another former Florida State player, Fred Rouse, said Assistant State Attorney Frank Allman. Rouse, a wide receiver, had been kicked off the team four months before the break-in.
Nicholson was one of nine Bengals arrested during a nine-month span.
"We are glad the case has been resolved," Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan said. "The club will monitor A.J.'s progress in fully complying with the court's directives, and we will work with him to ensure he has learned from this experience and respects the opportunity he has to continue his NFL career."
Nicholson, a fifth-round draft pick last year, had a history of off-field problems at Florida State. He was suspended for the 2006 Orange Bowl after violating team policy by taking a woman to the team's Miami hotel. She accused him of sexual assault, but Nicholson was not charged.
Nicholson was charged in the burglary a month after the Bengals drafted him. He hurt his hamstring in September and played in only two games last season.
The Booker break-in was his first felony offense, and Dekker rejected Allman's request for jail time. Booker and other victims also wrote letters to the court on Nicholson's behalf. Dekker agreed that if Ohio has a work program similar to Florida's, he could serve that time there.

BATAVIA, Ohio (AP) -- Cincinnati cornerback Deltha O'Neal, one of nine Bengals players arrested over a nine-month period, pleaded guilty on Friday to a less serious traffic offense stemming from his arrest at a drunken driving checkpoint.
O'Neal, originally charged with driving drunk after being arrested on Dec. 9 at a checkpoint in Clermont Country east of Cincinnati, pleaded guilty to reckless driving.
O'Neal told Municipal Court Judge James Shriver that as a father of three small children, he realized the need to be more responsible.
"I just want to apologize for what I did," O'Neal told the judge.
Shriver gave O'Neal a 30-day suspended jail sentence and three years' probation. He fined him $250 and ordered him to donate $1,000 to Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Shriver suspended O'Neal's driver's license for six months from the date of his arrest, but allowed him to drive to and from work.
"We're glad the case is resolved and we expect Deltha to fully comply with the court's directives," said Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan.
The arrests of nine Bengals players during a nine-month span embarrassed the team and drew the attention of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who called Bengals president Mike Brown to express his concern about the team's off-field problems.
O'Neal was the third Bengals player to have a court case decided this week. His plea came a day after a judge in nearby Burlington, Ky., allowed cornerback Johnathan Joseph to enter a diversion program for possession of marijuana.
On Monday, linebacker A.J. Nicholson was sentenced to two months in a sheriff's work program and two years' probation after pleading no contest in Tallahassee, Fla., to burglary and grand theft.

ESPNRadio is reporting Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry has been suspended for the first 8 games of the 2008 season.
There will be more than likely be an appeal and the suspension will more than likely be reduced.
