Don't Give Up, Don't Ever Give Up!

Post by bassjones »

Man, what a speech! Especially since it was less than 2 months before he died. It's one of my top 3 ever - the others being Dr. King's "I have a dream" (which, yes I'm fully aware he plagiarized major portions of), and Ronald Reagan's speech at the 1968 Republican convention where he laid out the essence of what has become modern conservatism.

Leave the other two alone here since this is Sports, not Politics.

That Jimmie V speech brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it. Love, laugh and cry every day... what a concept!

A great speech, indeed. Regardless of whether or not he died 2 months later.
