The newest version of Firefox has a spell checker built in. VERY helpful.

Check out Flock too. It's based off of Firefox, it has FLIKR add-ons for photos, and blogging tools. It's worth a try.

I'm pretty sure you can install most firefox extensions (add-ons) as well.
