Have you never looked at a picture of Jesus? It's blood from the crown... remember the Crown of thorns and the fact that they beat the sh*t out of Jesus before crucifying him?

But if you're going to take the time to do proper shading, why wouldn't you shade the blood instead of leaving it like it is to look like someone busted a nut on Frankenjesus' forehead?

I think it'd be cool to do the blood in red. Black/white pictures with color in highlighted spots are always intriguing to me... Like the little girl in the red dress in Schindler's List.

STILL needs freakin' neck bolts.

Also, a bit of backlight highlighting would help difine the outline, especially the hair. It gets lost in the background.

Layer effect > inner glow > white > futz with it until you like it.

I dunno.

Look at the large image in Fleeks post compared to his avatar.

Something changed, and the avatar (and all the internet flyers) are waaaaay too dark.
