The title here is annoying.

Really, I don't think this has anything to do with "ze left".

However, the guy wanting meteorologists decertified should be decertified himself, or at least be forced to sit through an ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGY CLASS as I have.

In global history, climate shifts occur. In biospheres, climate shifts occur. Maybe all of these "global warming" shouters should look up the "daisyworld" model and actually LEARN how climate is affected by biology...

I'm not saying that humans don't affect the environment. To the contrary, we do. But "global warming" is as much a natural change to the climate that humans affect it far less than extremists think.

I find it funny how my dad mentioned that when he was young, some predicted a coming ice age during his life time.

So, how is it that global warming has become a left or right issue?

Because everything becomes politicized in a game of us vs. them.

I think it's a matter of most of those who associate themselves with the political left believe global warming is happening and is all because us evil humans (especially the Evil West) are causing it. Whereas almost all of the sceptics associate themselves with the political right or libertarianism and don't buy the hype at all.

Oh, and Al Gore.

< skeptic of global warming.

Not aligned with the right (or the left for that matter).

Jonesy, with exception of Al Gore being an outgoing spokesman for all things global warming, I think you are pigeon-holing a large group of people on this one.

Honestly, with all the forking media hype, it's not surprising that so many people are die-hard believers in this jargon. They're spoon-fed the info by news, commercials and the bored house wives that run the Ad Council.

No kidding. I neither see nor feel any effects of global warming at the present...

That aforementioned ice age thing though...

I personally subscribe to the belief that global warming, and ice ages for that matter, are a natural cycle the Earth goes through. That being said, I also belive that we should still be mindful of how much pollution we are putting out there. After all, this is currently the only planet we have to live on so we should take care of it if it is within our means to do so. I am not saying everone should stop driving cars and manufacturing products. It just seems if we can find better alternatives to existing processes it would be silly not to take advantage of them. Political agendas and ceo bank accounts be damned.

Don't think so! and least not on this.

I'm not aware of too many that disagree that temps are trending
up, the debate remains on THE CAUSE of it. This is repeating,
but whatever,.. One camp says Man is at fault, the other says
it's a natural trend of warming and cooling that the planet goes
through on its own.

I agree with the latter.

Kyoto = lopsided piece of garbage that brings the U.S. down
to substandard levels. China & many others don't have to
change any of there pollution standards and continue to spew
many who knows what into the attmosphere, while we have to.

OK I'm done! :-#

I didn't search too hard, but I'm pretty sure he's not singing the same stubborn tune these days.

For some reason . . . .
all this reminds me of an old Chuck Jones cartoon.

Two camels are trudging side by side in the desert. Their footprints
trailing off in the distance to show how far they've traveled.
Finally . . . one turns to the other and says,

" I don't care what anyone says . . . . .
I'M THIRSTY ! "

Of course camels aren't too smart and this was before polls
made all our decisions for us

Already read that! it's NOT new! Re-read stuff from the earlier speeches
in 2001-2, it's in there,.. if you look. The point your missing is
the difference in a better quality air we have in the U.S. vs
most of the rest of the world, yet still receive the bulk of the
blame for something that man can't control.
