At a John Kerry campus forum, this student ended up having
his microphone cut off and ultimately was tasered.

Was he over the top?, did he just go on to long?,..
were his questions inappropriate?,..

He was tased not for having an opinion or asking tough questions...

He was tased for being an obnoxious butthead.

I'd love to see video of this (can't watch videos at work). If the news report is accurate, the kid shouldn't have been tased. If he offered to walk out on his own, they should've let him go. Now - if he turned around for a second after offering to leave - tase the hell out of him.

Plus, Kerry told the cops to back off and let him answer. They should've deferred to him, watching in case things got more out of hand.

I have seen the three video's floating out there...

#1. The guy has a problem. Not sure if he's bipolar or just nuts, but he was really saying some oddball crap.
#2. The guy technically did resist arrest, but it was nothing more than "what the heck are you doing" as opposed to taking a swing at the cop. The two ladies who arrested him are almost a foot shorter than he is, so I can see how they may have felt threatened. The tasing did not happen until he was in the back of the auditorium.
#3. It's a gray area, he was technically resisting, but anyone could make a case that the guy was nuts/an attention whore and was not a major danger to anyone.

Kerry could have probably done "something", but I'll refrain from Monday Morning Quarterbacking right now...

haha...The kid was being an obnoxious idiot trying to get a rise out of people. He wouldn't shut up and he was babbling, and then he was squirmy with all the police around him while still yelling. I don't know if a taser was necessary, but I'm glad they drug him out.
