Do like his style.

Do like that he waited to enter in what seems to be
a campaign season that starts a full two years before
one would even take office.

Don't like the comparisons to Reagan

Don't know his OP on a lot of issues.

Do think that by the time of the primary here in Indiana for this,
that what I think won't matter.

I like him in Law and Order...;)

I think he is a good guy and is not the typical politician...stays relatively quiet unless directly questioned...has a open mind about most issues I have seen him discuss. Doesn't seem to have a care about the typical lobby either...

We will see....

Well, the guy has been involved in politics for a long time and hollywood and managed not to get dragged through the muck. I think that says a lot. I read an article about him in Newsweek which said he was a class clown and lazy and that makes him okay in my book. He's also a good trial attorney which means that debates should be interesting (if he makes it that far)

Better than the rest of the field (excepting Hunter and Huckabee), but that's not saying much. I'm probably still voting Libertarian, but if it looks like I might be faced w/ a Hillary presidency, I might very well pony up to the Republicrat table one more time.

Rather enjoyed this aspect of Fred Thompson!

A recent retort to Michael Moore's documentary challenge.
Remember seeing this video a couple of months ago.
http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=611

Michael Moore looking for any publicity he can find for his latest effort called 'Sicko.' He challenged him to a debate in a lengthy sophomoric attempt to raise his stature and promote the film. But Mr. Thompson burned Michael Moore with a witty video spot mocking the mockumentary filmmaker with an unlit cigar and a lesson in the perils of living under Communist rule.
Moore didn't get it, but it makes for great online TV. Michael Moore challenged Fred Thompson to a health care debate. At issue -- Moore's trip to Cuba and Thompson's criticism of that trip. Moore noted Thompson's evident favor for Cuban cigars as a possible violation of the trade embargo.

Thompson responded - with an unlit cigar between his teeth.
"I've been looking at my schedule, Michael, and I don't think I have time for you, But I may be the least of your problems. You know, the next time you're down in Cuba visiting your buddy Castro, you might ask them about another documentary filmmaker. His name was Nicolas Guillen [Landrian]. He did something Castro didn't like, and they put him in a mental institution for several years, giving him devastating electroshock treatments. A mental institution, Michael, might be something you ought to think about."

Moore's clumsy response:
"Why would a potential presidential candidate provide photographic evidence of himself committing a felony?Someone should tell him that 'Law & Order' isn't just a TV show, its real life. I hope the federal government will take the proper and necessary actions against him for violating the law."

Somehow Moore doesn't know that all cigars are not from Cuba. The one Thompson displays could be Dominican, Honduran or from a number of countries. Now it's easy to see how Moore gets so many things wrong in his documentaries.

That, I rather enjoyed. I suppose he's better than Hillary... But there's not that much difference.
