I have always heard arguments about how hard that test is. After seeing it for the first time, I don't get it. Almost everything on it is taught in one semester of a high school level government class. Granted, I could not remember the answer to every question, but it has been twelve years and I would have had a B passing grade.
It seems to me anyone wanting to obtain citizenship could study for a month or two and pass. One question I have however. Can the test be taken and/or studied in one's native language, or do they have to do it in english? I can see how the language barrier could make the test much harder.

Yes, that's all taught in one semester of Government class; remember 70% of it and you pass.
Of course, I wouldn't get on a plane that has a 70% chance of making it to its destination, or keep a job if I only did 70% of my duties. . . (Was that spoken like a real skool teecher or what?)

Citizen: But. . . But. . . .Marge Maggie Homer Lisa and Bart!

eh...you could always be a weatherman. "Today there is a 50% chance of rain." What is that? Did you research a true/false question?
And if it gets too hard, just call a friend in Iowa and ask "Is it raining or what?" before you go on air.
So sorry, I think I may have tangented/Devitoed here.

[b]Okay, think of what little patience I have as, oh, I don't know, your virginity. You always thought it would be there, until that night Junior Year when you were feeling a little down about yourself and your pal Kevin, who just wanted to be friends, well, he dropped by and he brought a copy of About Last Night and a four-pack of Bartels & James and woo hoo hoo, it was gone forever - just like my patience is now.

Re: Would you be able to pass this test?
Umm, I'm gonna go with Constitution. The following sentence gave it away: In what year was the Constitution written?=^-..-^= wrote: 80. In what year was the Constitution written?
Constitution or the Articles of Confederation?
Jefferson Davis wasn't President anymore than if I declared myself president of Eighty-eight land. It would be a democratic process, don't get me wrong, because I would erect a 50 ft wall on my border and shoot all you illegals trying to get in. Therefore I would win by a landslide vote of 1-0.68. Who was president during the Civil War?
Lincoln AND Jefferson Davis
