Israel can handle themselves quite nicely. I hope we don't get in their way. How stupid are the Palestinians? You finally get them to leave the territory you're claiming as your own, then instead of accepting that and living peacefully you decide to capture their soldiers????

Okay, Israel, we're done protecting them from you, do whatever the hell you want.

I agree they can handle themselves.

But Israel is up to some badddd business with that wall they are building. And the 16 million per day in US aide partially funding that monstrosity is a joke.

*Note, the money isn't specifically for the wall, but it is partly being used in the construction. The wall that violates all sorts of UN regulations.

The wall that will keep the terrorists out once it's completed. I don't like it, but I don't really blame them either. Surrounded by people groups who have been your sworn enemies for 10,000 years and whose stated goal is to rid the planet of your race? I'd build a wall too. I might even try to figure out a way to put a bomb proof shield over the top of it.

....I've learned to appreciate Israels approach to terrorism over
the years. Sometimes they seem to do a much better job then
we do. IMHO, when they get hit by a rocket, etc., they're response
seems to be a united, immediate & decisive one. Their enemy,
when they're nose is bloodied tends to think twice,...
They more often than not, for me, "get it right".

Gee ,..I'm such an evil, callous, government loving citizen!

(for randomhero,.. the last line would be "tongue in cheek")

I'm not sure their approach has really worked out that well. They keep getting hit. Of course, giving in to their enemies and pulling out of Gaza didn't really work either. Maybe stepping it up like this will be what it takes.

Why are you so upset about the wall? It's there to protect their citizens from terrorists.

Well, first off, the wall is being built almost like its a prison sentence to be a Palestinian. Its a racial bias mess.

Second, in a lot of places, the wall is built some 75 miles in from where the actual border between the Palestinian lands and the Israeli lands exist. This is causing farmers to be cut-off from their crops and is overall just mean. The only way to get to their crops is to go through a heavily gaurded checkpoint that is not regularly open for the farmers to properly raise their crops. Often times it relies on the mood of the heavily, almost over-armed Israeli soldiers that are stationed at the gates...they're never in great mood.

Israel's not necessarily the "good guy's" either. Much like the United States isn't necessarily the "good guy's".

I know how President Bush feels....
ST PETERSBURG, Russia (Reuters) - A microphone picked up an unaware
President Bush saying on Monday
Syria should press Hizbollah to "stop doing this sh*t" and that his secretary of state may go to the Middle East soon.

Bush was talking privately to British Prime Minister
Tony Blair during a lunch at the Group of Eight summit in St Petersburg about an upsurge of violence in the Middle East.

Neither immediately realized a microphone was transmitting their candid thoughts on that and other issues.

Nothing like the creation of a country to give the allies a base in the midst of their version of a den of theives. Neither side is right in this conflict, it just happens that Israel has the most support.
