Not if you saw her on Good Morning America, or whatever NBC airs in the A.M.

Worst. Interview. Ever.

She stood by it and blamed the 911 wives for making a profit from it all.

God I wanted to strangle both her and the putz interviewing her.

There's nothing to take out of context. It's a ridiculous and sickening statement.

From a ridiculous, sickening individual.

If I were Jonesy I would try and distance myself as far away from my beloved Anne as possible.

Here's the reply from the women she was talking about:
"We have been slandered. Contrary to Ms. Coulter's statements, there was no joy in watching men that we loved burn alive. There was no happiness in telling our children that their fathers were never coming home again. We adored these men and miss them every day,"

I will say that is sickening.....ridiculous is WAY too light of a word!

I would prefer outlandishly sickening.

or insanely sickening.

or my God she is a lunatic and that is sickening.
music, cubs, work, eat, sleep....repeat.....

if I'm getting this right, she was complaining about
the wives still using grief to promote a political
agenda way after the fact.

That said,... her aggressive style stating her
opinion is usually her downfall for me anyway.

I've complained before about the left leaning liberals,
but this is a possible example of the opposite...

Ann Coulter's entire schtick is being out of context. That and having the body of a hooker and the face of a horse.

That quote was refering to FOUR of the 9-11 widows, who are using their loss to profit financially as well as attaining celebrity status. It was not refering to anyone receiving the financial benefit the government gave out. Those four are particularly offensive individuals.

Here's what Ann wrote in her book:
"These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much." She also wrote "And by the way, how do we know their husbands weren't planning to divorce these harpies? Now that their shelf life is dwindling, they'd better hurry up and appear in Playboy. . ."

I can't believe anyone is surprised. This is also the woman who said such nuggets of wisdom as:
It would be a much better country if women did not vote. That is simply a fact. In fact, in every presidential election since 1950 — except Goldwater in '64 — the Republican would have won, if only the men had voted."
"The ethic of conservation is the explicit abnegation of man's dominion over the Earth. The lower species are here for our use. God said so: Go forth, be fruitful, multiply, and rape the planet — it's yours. That's our job: drilling, mining and stripping. Sweaters are the anti-Biblical view. Big gas-guzzling cars with phones and CD players and wet bars — that's the Biblical view."

That woman has no place speaking in public. But, I suppose, neither does Al Franken.

When will intelligent people be the mouthpieces for our parties instead of these yahoos?

The further you drift to the middle the less interesting you become.

Hence, you sell fewer books and are seen less spouting crap on television.

I don't really think that I'm much of a champion of a middle, just a champion of intelligent informed talking heads. I guess that's an impossibility in itself... Intelligent talking heads....

I'm all for extremism, beliefs are beliefs, if you're true to what you believe that's great, whether you're a book burning fascist or a tree hugging animal freeing liberal... This lady is just a whacko though, does she really stand by anything? Or is she just there to get people riled up so that topics like this are started on music sites around the midwest?
