Quite honestly I don't trust any politician.
and with that, we can agree!
Wish we could run this country with I'll
fondly recall were called "Statesman",
who put there love of their country above
polictical gain(s).

I'll probably get hammered for this but ...

Joe Lieberman
Rick Santorum
George W. Bush

et. al...

all doing the unpopular (supposedly) thing and getting hammered because of it. I truly believe they are doing what they think is right and not what they think is politically expedient. Unlike a certain Democratic Senator from Indiana... When in Indiana, he's a good ol' boy. When in Washington, he's an East Coast liberal elitist.

Thanks, but I'm not a conservative. I'm a Libertarian except on abortion and National Defense, and on both of those issues I lean very far right.

On those two issues probably. However I'm also in favor of decriminalizing drugs, I'm in favor of removing all laws on the books regarding homosexuality (however, I am opposed to homosexual marriage), I'm opposed to seatbelt laws, helmet laws, drinking ages, etc... I actually favor some sort of reparations for African Americans and Native Americans and see and support the momentary necessity of Affirmative Action hiring policies (both of which are actually considered very 'liberal' views). I could go on, but you should see my point.

I'm pretty conservative for this board and for artists in general. But, I'm really not all that conservative.
If a bunch of dumb hicks who only paid attention about 1/16th of the time thought that was why were going, that's their own fault. If a bunch of people who were opposed to the war from the beginning want to now say that Bush said the reason we were going in there was because they were behind 9-11, well then, they're just flat out lying because he never said that, and neither did anyone else of any level of importance in the administration.
I guess I'm a dumb hick. I seem to remember being in an argument about it with my roomie when the invasion happened. Something about orange levels and high red level and other dumb propaganda sh*t. Yeah, nothing about 9/11 ever factored into that.

We also had a funny conversation about plastic and duct tape to protect us from a gas attack.

I'm sure that influenced nobody at the time.

Here's a quote from some of the 10% fanatic Muslims out there.
an example of what's in their head.

The group said Muslims would be victorious and addressed
the pope as "the worshipper of the cross" saying
"you and the West are doomed as you can see from the
defeat in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya and elsewhere. ...
We will break up the cross, spill the liquor and impose
head tax, then the only thing acceptable is a conversion
(to Islam) or (killed by) the sword."

Islam forbids drinking alcohol and requires non-Muslims
to pay a head tax to safeguard their lives if conquered
by Muslims. They are exempt if they convert to Islam.

Tip of the day: Buy shares of stock in alcohol
