This is response to Austin Taunts request for a Tech Forum, right now we have limited Admin capabilities. So this will have to do until we either get a fix or when the PHPBB 3 releases.
So what do ya have? Lest talk about it! I will start...

no pretty pictures for you all, but I play and recommend (hopefully one day endorse) the following bass guitar equipment:
G&L L2500 5-string
A beat up old Englehardt upright that needs a ton of work...
SWR Grand-Prix Pre-amp
QSC USA 850 Power amp - overkill around here, but it kicks ass.
Pre-Gibson Trace Elliot smx series combo amp
Boss Bass Chorus
Morley volume
Boss Bass Distortion
Boss TU-2 tuner
Monster 500 Bass cables
Gator racks
On the wish list:
Low Down Sound custom cabinets - 1-12", 1-8", 1-tweeter, NEO magnets, tweeter control on the side, finished in a spray-on hard finish - being designed right now, will order soon.
LeCompte custom basses - I will be ordering a bass from them in the next year - a fretless single-cut six-string and hopefully a fretted six shortly thereafter.
MXR auto-q
Eden WT series head to replace my current behemoth setup...

That place is like Bass Guitar Mecca. I don't really even play electric bass anymore, but can't help but stop in whenever I'm in town.

So, I've heard... I've talked to cabinet guy a number of times and they're working with me to get me exactly what I want. Plus the cabs are going to weigh in at less than 40lbs each.

Nothing 'too' fancy, but effective.

I'll get some actual pictures of my own gear up in a couple weeks, but for now....
Acoustic:
I got a 1965 Gibson LG-O a few months back, its so old and gnarly. The wood is alll soggy and the finish is dippin' in the cracks. I love it. Here's a photo of a similar body type but think more chocolate brown and weathered.
Electric:
I got a Telecaster a while back, got rid of it, missed it, got a new one, and never looked back. I made some modifications by placing a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge positon and a three way toggle switch up on the horn.
What I want as my next axe:
Amp:
I used to have a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier half stack, but back when I acquired the Gibson above I also acquired this. Fender Bassman Reissue tube amp, my clean sound has never...ever sounded as good as thing does. And its loud and fat as sh*t.
Effects:
Not going to talk much about 'em but here's some purty pictures.
Controlable Muff-ness!
Uncontrolable Muff-ness!
I loves me the octave sounds.
Wah, for those of us so uncoordinated that its impossible to use a Cry Baby.
i enjoy staying in tune, the gold standard.
I like velcro and thats what keeps my pedals attached to this fantastic investment.
My next pedal acquisition:
This pedal is pretty ridiculous, it'll replace my octaver. Its an octave pedal, but it also allows for chords with octave without it beind muddy. You can get a 12-string effect and an 18-string effect. You can also dial in a blend that makes your guitar sound like a Hammond B-3 organ, drool.
Various other goods:
i wouldn't be caught dead with any other brand or color.

The white one is a stock '84 American Standard. My #1 for twenty years. I bought it on the recommendation of Cub Koda of Brownsville Station, who just by chance was hanging out in Playford Music in Jackson, MI the day I went in to buy one. I've had wood top (no pickguard) LPs and a Martin EM18 that I wore a hole in, but wouldn't have expected to wear the hard plastic.

I use it mostly tuned down a fret, Markley 11-52s.
The brown one is a '95 with the Custom Shop Texas Specials. They make it sound really fat, to the extent that unless I'm playing clean, I don't get that bell-tone of a Strat with it. Almost too overwound. I keep thinking I should try something different in it.

That's the one that caught my eye.

Ah yes, Playford music. Craig was a good guy. Are they still open? Last I knew all he had was some crappy Peavey stuff and Crate.
