I too have made the weight loss resolution, weighed myself today to get a baseline I'm starting from. It's getting ridiculous. This year I'm doing it for real.

I am actually looking at fasting for 44 days here soon. I have 20+ extra pounds that I didnt have 3 years ago. With my increasingly bad eating and drinking habits, cold turkey may be the only way.

me too on the weight loss thing. I'm going to see the nutritionist at Lutheran Hospital. My insurance is paying for it. Al, don't fast that long. It's not good for you.

nah I would never make it, that is just a maximum number of days of that so called "lemonaide" diet.

but i seriously need to loose this weight. I think always being a few pounds underweight the majority of my life that this extra weight is becoming a shock to my system.

I gained 40 pounds when my ex was pregnant then lost 10 a week after she left me. Now I am at 15-20 over depending on the day.

1999 - 175lbs
2003 - 235lbs
2007 - 210-215lbs
2008 - 200????

That is where I would be comfortable. (for folks that dont know me keep in mind I am also 6'5)

No plans to lose weight....

My only resolution is to keep taking my Tang Soo Do class three times a week. Weight should take of itself after that....

Work more.

Sit less.

Contribute more constructively to a social group where everyone seems to be tagging the same guy's mom.

One of these is a little out of reach. :)

Good luck with the diet-thing, everyone else.

no vitriol here, just a question?

Why does the turning of a calendar page to start a new year
have to be the bellweather for someone to change and
improve themselves. Why wait till then?
