You misquoted me.

It's the 2nd best. I couldn't get the taste of burnt vaseline out of my mouth for days.

Nice...that is probably my favorite restaurant...I just love gyros. I used to get the plate for lunch, but now if I get a plate, I'll do it with an extra pickle, extra sauce, extra feta and 3 extra pitas. Its a whole meal for my wife and I and all for under $10!!!

Mmmm...I might have to hit the king up soon!

I could eat a Gyro w/ Feta combo everyday. I love the one on Goshen. The meat is a little higher quality and juicier than the other ones in town.

I'd recommend getting a plate, saving some of the meat and making one of the best omelets you've ever had in your life the next morning. I usually save about 1/2 or 1/3 of the meat, tear it up, throw two eggs in, some feta if I have any left, and some of the onions (cook these a bit before throwing everything else in). G-d #$%#, that is a great omelet. Kind of like the Olympic skillet at Spyro's.

FYI

All the King Gyros are NOT connected in any way.

Steve and Lea, the owners of the Goshen Rd location started the one downtown and set the standards.

Steve sold it to move the business AWAY from downtown as he was disliking the clientele, especially at night.

He opened the Goshen Road location and it still remains the best in town.

...and I've yet to eat at the Goshen Road location.

If they have the same cucumber sauce, I'm there.

Goshen is solid...haven't eaten there enough to say it was better than downtown...but I will say that it wasn't worse. Same sauce, so you are in luck. The one that closed on Lake had horrible, runny sauce...

Oh, and I have had greek omelets at Cosmo...very tasty. I guess I will have to save some meat and try making some at home myself...never thought of that!

Personally, I don't think the meat would be good on anything BUT a Gyro. But that's just me.

I wondered about that for years until I asked Lea one day. She's awesome! Steve and her are another one of the reasons that I've always gone there, even when I lived a few seconds from the Lake and Coliseum one.

Cebollas Mexican Grill

They have wonderful chips and salsa. Plus the service is fast and the food very tasty. :)
