Does anyone have Centennial? It seems their Blue Nation special is the best deal of any cell provider. I have always used Verizon, so what can I expect if I do switch?

I've been with Centennial for 8 years now. I'm a fan.

i hate them, I have been with them for 2 years. They were great while I was here, but try and move somewhere not in the midwest and that changes things.

I love Centennial as far as the fact that they are a great local company...BUT...they are a LOCAL company...and that pretty much goes for their service too.
They have really expanded, but I know some people that have tried to have them and spent a lot of time on the road.
If you are only concerned abunt here you will be fine and they have great deals, but if you go on road trips for whatever reason you might find issues.
I have Verizon for my cell...4 phones $108 a month...if you look for their deals you can find them also...

Yeah I was out of the coverage area so I was spending $97 a month for 2 phones with Cent. that was with one phone stripped of all its features too.

I sh*t canned Centennial 4 years ago after a trip to Florida. I came home and got a 300 or 400 dollar bill.
I travel around too much to pay that kind of sh*t.

I have Verizon right now. The problem is my soon to be wife may be getting a part time job with Centennial therefore qualifying for deals. I looked at their PDA selection and they have outdated equipment. Not sure I want to give up Verizon.

You might want to verify that first...
Cell phone companies are not big on giving deals to employees...

My friend Matt had to make it to management before they gave him ANY sort of 'deal' on a cell phone.
Verizon flat out DOESN'T give their employees anything either...was always funny to have students tell me how they managed to find another cell phone company with a better deal than they could get working for them..heh.

Call Verizon and ask for the Retention Department. Tell them you are thinking about switching companies and ask them what they can do. Whatever they offer you, ask for 1/2 price on that and negotiate from there. Free internet, free texting, early start times for nights/weekends, etc... Wife and I stayed with Sprint this time and got a great deal. 2100 minutes, 500 free texts, free internet, free sprint vision, $20 a month less than we were paying for 1500 minutes, no free texts, no internet, no sprint vision. We're negotiating on vouchers for phones right now. I'm hoping to get 2 free pocket pcs, but we'll see...
