Has anyone else seen this?
Heads up folks!
REMINDER....
10 days from today! Cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sale calls.
....YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS
To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222.
It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time.
It blocks your number for five (5) years.
You must call from the cell phone number you are wanting to have blocked.
You cannot call from a different phone number.
HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS

Snopes says it's fake but my brother had a telemarketer call his cell just this week. So, it might be a good idea to add your cell number to the list anyway.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw his brother get a telemarketer call on his cell at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
This was on wiki about it:
Despite a spate of emails warning to the contrary, cell phone numbers need not be included on the National Do Not Call Registry to avoid unsolicited calls. FCC regulations already in place prohibit telemarketers from calling any cellular phone number. Experts tell media sources that the false email turned urban legend probably started because cellular companies are developing wireless directories. However, cell numbers will not be included in the list unless consent is given.

I've signed up for one of these things before.
Nothing changed.
But...I won't answer a call that's NOT in my phone book unless A.) I'm expecting one or B.) they call back or continue calling, in which case it's usually important and if not, I'll get sh*tty 99% of the time. So I'm not getting charged for anything by not answering shady-looking numbers.

I just like to hear him fly off on a Tourette's fueled rant.

I get free incoming calls but it still pisses me off when a telemarketer calls.

When the Do Not Call list was first established, I added my home number plus my wife's and my cell phone numbers. So far, no telemarketers.
If one did call, I'd have to hunt them down and beat him/her with a telephoto lens.
